ABOUT US

Open Space Brewing is both an outdoor brand and craft brewery, founded by Alexa Tubbs “Highlight” and Matt Leef “Brew Hiker.” They met while thru-hiking the Continental Divide Trail in 2019 and bonded over their love for the outdoors and great beer. Inspired by their experiences, they established Open Space Brewing in Santa Clara, New Mexico, to craft quality ales and honor the trails and open spaces that bring people together.

OUR MISSION

Opened on October 28th, 2023, Open Space Brewing is a socially responsible, adventure-focused business that combines our love for beer and the outdoors. Each year, we dedicate a portion of our earnings to support local outdoor recreation projects, trail building, and conservation in the Gila Wilderness. Our brewery welcomes outdoor enthusiasts, families, friends, dogs (and cats!), aiming to inspire community and preserve our open spaces.
