Open Space Brewing, in collaboration with Southwest Art Towns, is proud to present Inspired by the Outdoors — a juried exhibition celebrating the myriad ways artists interpret our relationship with the natural world.
“This exhibition was curated from a shared love of the outdoors. I selected these 25 works through our first no-fee, juried open call in collaboration with Southwest Art Towns. Open Space Brewing was created to support artists as much as community, which is why artists receive 100% of any sales. This taproom is meant to be a place where art is seen, valued, and inspires you to create—or get outside for an adventure.”

Book Release Party! New Mexico Wild: Passport to New Mexico’s Rivers
Join us on February 24th at 6pm for a special book release party as part of New Mexico Wild’s Wild Waters: Passport to New Mexico’s Rivers Book Tour. This new statewide guidebook details 40 river segments across the Land of Enchantment with an eye toward to not just their recreational, but also ecological significance. New Mexico Wild Conservation Director Bjorn Fredrickson will give a short presentation and copies of the new book will be available.
Come have a beer and learn about New Mexico Rivers!

Ikebana Valentine’s Workshop with Alice Fujita-Schwarz
Show your love in a meaningful, hands-on way this Valentine’s Day with a guided Ikebana workshop led by Alice Fujita-Schwarz, owner and instructor of BasketBana LLC. $40 per person. Tickets are sold through Alice’s website via BasketBana.
Ikebana—the traditional Japanese art of floral arrangement—is about more than flowers. It’s a practice rooted in balance, intention, and connection to nature. In this workshop, Alice will introduce the history and philosophy behind Ikebana while guiding participants through the creation of a floral arrangement using a heart-shaped basket, designed to speak straight from the heart.
This experience can be shared as a couple or enjoyed solo—perfect for creating a thoughtful, handmade gift for someone special (or for yourself). No prior experience is necessary. Alice’s teaching style is welcoming and intuitive, encouraging creativity while honoring the quiet structure that defines Ikebana.
Alice Fujita-Schwarz
Alice Fujita-Schwarz is a long-time floral artist and educator whose work blends traditional Japanese techniques with natural, modern expression. Through BasketBana, she creates arrangements that celebrate seasonality, simplicity, and mindful design—inviting people to slow down and connect through flowers.
Craft beer and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase separately during the workshop, so you can sip while you arrange and settle into a relaxed afternoon at the brewery!

Announcing our last taproom days of 2025! We’re open this week 12/18, 12/19, 12/20 and next Saturday only 12/27.
Open Space Brewing will be CLOSED in January 2026 and back open on Thursday, February 5, 2026. This slower season gives us and our team the chance to get outside, reset, and have a little adventure! Before we put the pause on, we just want to thank you all for showing up and spending time with us this year! Y’all make it all worth it! We hope you have an amazing holiday season and best wishes for the New Year!

We're excited to share that a new performance space is coming to life on our patio this week! It started as an offer: "We'll help you build it!" Then came the napkin sketches and drawings, plans to book the first gig, and we were rolling. With the generous help of our friends Ricky and Chris, they've created a dedicated outdoor space for music and connection---the Sunset Stage---a small but meaningful space to play groovy tunes, shake a boot, and take in the beautiful New Mexico sunsets together.

While our Open Space Brewing taproom in Santa Clara will be closed for the week (11/27-11/29), we invite you to join us for a pop-up taproom experience at The Seedboat Collective on Saturday, November 29, 2025. Kicking off at noon, meet us at 214 W Yankie Street, Silver City, NM 88061: enter through the historic brick façade, and experience a former carriage house and grain warehouse—turned cozy courtyard and community space right in the heart of downtown Silver City.
Featuring: live music, children’s STEAM activities including Lego wall, marble chute, scarf tube along with a Letters to Santa station and vintage firetruck rides and luminaries at dark.

Celebrate the CDT and Silver City’s 10th Anniversary as a Gateway Community at Open Space Brewing's Trail Days Kickoff Party
SANTA CLARA, NM — April 17, 2025 — Join Open Space Brewing on Thursday, April 17th for our Trail Days Kickoff Party that celebrates the 10th Anniversary of Silver City as a Continental Divide Trail (CDT) Gateway Community and honors the hikers, advocates, and partners who make it all possible.
In collaboration with the Continental Divide Trail Coalition (CDTC), the event will feature our fan-favorite Trail Days Haze Hazy IPA, brewed with Bru-1 and Citra hops—a juicy and refreshing Hazy IPA that appears only once a year.
Doors open at 2 PM with first pours of Trail Days Haze, and continues into the evening with live music from the Enchanted Valley Trio playing smooth tunes from 5–7 PM.
We're also excited to host TumbleOn Outfitters for a special week-long pop-up shop featuring trail-ready gear, and Fire & Ice Pizza will be slinging pizzas on the patio throughout the event.
As part of the festivities, we'll share a special short film about floating the Gila River featuring Nuestra Tierra Conservation Project, CDTC Executive Director Teresa Martinez, and Congressman Gabe Vasquez.
Whether you're a thru-hiker or local trail lover, come cheers to a decade of Silver City on the Continental Divide!
